Scripture Prayers for the Week

Our purpose in using the scriptures to guide our personal prayers is to make our hearts one with the heart of God.

Our Scriptural Prayer this week is taken from 1 Corinthians 15:58:

“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”

ADULT PRAYER: Help us, Heavenly Father, to be strong and steady, standing our ground, and throwing ourselves into the work of the Master. We are assured and absolutely confident that nothing we do for Him is a waste of time and effort. In God we trust, as we pray in Jesus’ name, amen.

PRAYER FOR CHILDREN: Dear God, because You live in my heart I can trust You. I can love You. I can be obedient to You. I can be kind to others because you are kind to me. You make it possible for me to do all that You ask me to do. My life is important to You. That makes me very happy. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
