We will soon be closing out another year. Our prayers will be that God will use our lives to bring praise, honor, and glory to Him for as long as we live on this earth.
This week our Scriptural prayer is taken from 2 Corinthians 2:14-16:
“But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and...
"I tell you the truth; it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment; in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father where you can see me no longer; and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world n...
We seem to havea difficult time simply accepting many of the blessings that God has purchased for us. For example, the reality of our lives should be that we do not worry about anything. “Through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of Life set me free from the law of sin and death.”
(Romans 8: 2, NIV)
What is the Spirit of Life? In the New Testament the Holy Spirit is described as “the Spirit of Truth”, “the Spirit of Promise”, “the Spirit of Grace”, and “the Spirit of Glory”. However, the designation “the Spirit of Life” is all inclusive. It binds up all the other meanings into one. This phrase indicates the relationship God has to all of l...
