Scripture Prayers - Aroma of Christ

We will soon be closing out another year. Our prayers will be that God will use our lives to bring praise, honor, and glory to Him for as long as we live on this earth. This week our Scriptural prayer is taken from 2 Corinthians 2:14-16: “But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?” ADULT PRAYER: Thanks be to God! Because of what Christ has done, You will use me whe

Scripture Prayers for the Week

Our purpose in using the scriptures to guide our personal prayers is to make our hearts one with the heart of God. Our Scriptural Prayer this week is taken from 1 Corinthians 15:58: “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” ADULT PRAYER: Help us, Heavenly Father, to be strong and steady, standing our ground, and throwing ourselves into the work of the Master. We are assured and absolutely confident that nothing we do for Him is a waste of time and effort. In God we trust, as we pray in Jesus’ name, amen. PRAYER FOR CHILDREN: Dear God, because You live in my heart I can trust You.

The Witness of The Holy Spirit

"I tell you the truth; it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment; in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father where you can see me no longer; and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.” - John 16:7-11 NIV - At some point in the life of every person there comes a time of spiritual awakening. A spiritual awakening can be defined as an awareness of things of the spirit, a realization that we are all pri

Gathering for God's Glory

Make Known Your Majesty Make known to us Your majesty As we gather in this place; And reveal to us Your presence As together we seek Your face. For as You came down from glory To save us from the fall; And as You showed us the Father, Then gave Your Life for all, May we hide Your truth within us, And leave behind our wrongful ways; May we humbly rise to meet Your call And joyfully serve You all our days. Make known to us Your will, O Lord As we follow in Your ways, And fill us with Your Spirit As together we seek Your grace. We will glory in Your presence As we gather round Your throne; And we’ll sing alleluias to the Lamb All praise be to our God alone! - By Marjorie Jackson – These are the

Scripture Prayers for the Week

We seem to have a difficult time simply accepting many of the blessings that God has purchased for us. For example, the reality of our lives should be that we do not worry about anything. Instead, He calls us to rest and trust in Him. Our prayer for this week is that God will move us to that place of quiet confidence in our thoughts and in our prayers. This week's Scriptural Prayer is taken from Philippians 4:6-7... "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." ADULT PRAYER: Dear God, inste
