Scripture Prayers for The Week
"Blessed are You, O Lord;
Teach me Your statutes.
With my lips I have told of
All the ordinances of Your mouth.
I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,
As much as in all riches.
I will meditate on Your precepts
And regard Your ways.
I shall delight in Your statutes;
I shall not forget Your word.
Deal bountifully with Your servant,
That I may live and keep Your word.
Open my eyes, that I may behold
Wonderful things from Your law.
I am a stranger in the earth;
Do not hide Your commandments from me.
My soul is crushed with longing
After Your ordinances at all times."
- Psalm 119:12-20 -

One of God's greatest blessings is the gift of His Word. This week our Scripture Prayer leads in asking for deeper understanding of the Bible and for a sincere love for all that it speaks to us.
ADULT PRAYER: "Blessed Lord, open my eyes to see wonderful things in Your Word. I am a pilgrim here on earth. How I need a map - and Your commands are my guide. I will meditate upon them and give them my full respect. I will delight in them and not forget them. In Jesus' Name I offer this prayer, amen."

CHILDREN'S PRAYER: "Dear God, I want to understand the things You have written in the Bible. It is Your love letter to me. In it, You tell me how to act and what to say. I will think about Your words and make them part of my life because I love You. In Jesus' name, amen."
