Scripture Prayers - Aroma of Christ

We will soon be closing out another year. Our prayers will be that God will use our lives to bring praise, honor, and glory to Him for as long as we live on this earth.

This week our Scriptural prayer is taken from 2 Corinthians 2:14-16:

“But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?”

ADULT PRAYER: Thanks be to God! Because of what Christ has done, You will use me wherever I go to tell others about the Lord. I thank You that You have placed the fragrance of Christ within me, a life-giving perfume. May I continue as a person of integrity, sent by God, speaking with Christ’s power, and with God’s eye upon me. Let it be, in Jesus’ name, amen.

PRAYER FOR CHILDREN: Dear God, I thank You that You have come into my mind. You are in my heart. My life belongs to You. Help me to share Your words and Your love with others. In Jesus’ name, amen.
